Dear Innovative Technology Science Editor,

Glad to share my understanding of your opinion.

Great, structured articulation of innovative ways to solve the most pressing challenges of climate change as committed by PM Modi in Glasgow COP26 summit. More so, to the people of India.

Yes, you have suggested great alternatives through development of new technologies as the most beneficial form of combating environment & industrial pollution ie; scrubbing, use of thorium from monazite sands available not only in Kerala(largest concentration) & Tami Nadu but also Jharkhand, Bihar & Rajasthan, and converting coal into natural gas & use that gas to produce power. Most certainly, hydrogen technologies will help make CCUS operational, and expand production capacity to X percentage in India.

Examples of utilising cheapest & most efficient hydrogen is & was beautifully enumerated in your earlier opinions as well ie; 1/ https://thefederal.com/opinion/in-the-rush-to-go-electric-do-not-end-up-in-chinas-control/ 2/ https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/economy/policy/view-a-dekko-at-the-lay-of-the-land-post-covid-that-will-present-new-threats-and-opportunities/articleshow/80120996.cms

I think more efforts are needed in demand creation & in reducing emissions associated with low-cost hydrogen production.

Notwithstanding the uncertainties like deluges etc, I fully agree that we must cleverly scale-up technologies & policies that further accelerate the transition away from unabated coal capacity by making additional technology investments to achieve the goals, consistent with our commitments in the COP26 summit.

The concluding four paragraphs are more than illuminating to fix India's challenges - Learning from the California example:)

We the citizens must enjoin to develop the same scientific temper to temper economic ebullience in turn poise economic take-off. As it is, you have covered finance, the environment, and the society in India.

Huge thanks for this opinion. If I am not wrong and I may say - your science (physics) background happens to be one great positives among the rest of them ie; economics & research etc with incredibly great honest & committed to the societies & the nation writing experience.
