An interesting, straight, crisp and clear, convincing influential opinion on checking CDR of rich countries, and India playing a lead role towards shifting the burden of saving the climate from emission reductions to CDR. The jargon has been explained, too. Can Mr Modi do this?
Also, how we humans can utilise the opportunities to put carbon into new uses knowing the examples cited by you in second and third last paragraphs, and many opinions on 'Climate Change, India's Specific Role and its' Importance' detailing the science, the best possible innovative solutions, the political will to act, and clear indications of inaction of Modi Government in the past.
I hope this time the Government of India can make a plan and put it into action after making a loudspeaker announcement at the COP26 UN Climate Change Conference in Glasglow on 31 October – 13 November 2021 which brought together brought together 120 world leaders and over 40,000 registered participants, including 22,274 party delegates, 14.124 observers and 3.886 media representatives. The situation and topic needs urgent attention of both the Union Government and the State Governments.
Time to formulate the policy to succeed at the attempt of becoming a leader and allowing climate mitigation. Many thanks for this useful and positive action-oriented opinion.
