Sanjaya, I recall your old opinion on Congress in 2020.

Yes, the Congress party had been off the wall and your writings were and are on the wall, still, and thanks.

The contents of the opinions (last twenty+) are as fecund as your outstanding practice of journalism of three plus decades! I truly and honestly mean it.

Reminds me of the Italian artist, Leonardo da Vinci with 'The Mona Lisa' a half-length portrait painting considered an archetypal masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance, it has been described as "the best known, the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most parodied work of art in the world". Exactly, the reason why I read your opinions with an alacrity & passion aiming to stay active as a dutiful citizen of India contributing positively to our societies in one or the other manner.

Any doubts about your no serious mistakes/no blunders, feisty opinions please feel free to double check with me.

The opinion is an authentic assessment of Rahul Gandhi with critical & creative thinking about the opposition's role in the larger context of democracy and democratic polity, and functioning of the parliament in shambles!!

Yes, I as an ultimate sovereign, honest & loyal reader & an evaluator (imo) welcome your multifaceted, prolific writings on democracy, judiciary with emphasis on governance and laws, political-economy & most significant aspects of the economy, foreign affairs, international relations, healthcare, technology, environment, business and enterpreneurship, finance & agriculture, women and media/journalism central to Indian democracy, and long list of topics portraying all sections of our societies especially Governments (state and centre), underprivileged and deprived lot with middle class & minorities.

You've highlighted the simplicity & complexity of challenges faced by the sovereigns, the opposition, institutions of democracy. Haha...similar to challenges faced by many couples in marital bliss or the Korean drama's on matrimonial chaos.

The opinion is absolutely great with differences of one point. If I look at Rahul Gandhi objectively (not affected by surround sound & media diktats), I would look at Rahul Gandhi just like I see Tejaswi Yadav, RJD, Akhilesh Yadav, The Samajwadi Party, Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray, Shiv Sena (UBT), Stalin in Tamil Nadu or KCR in Telangana. Like Rahul Gandhi, all these leaders are acceptable by their party cadre and that too by the lowest cadre. Same is true with Rahul Gandhi. I grant similar considerations to Rahul Gandhi with no bias whatsoever it could be.

Like you, I'm no less an admirer of democratic sensibility, principles and ethos and I would like to quote another relevant example establishing the connection of your logical, journalistic mind and India's stand internationally - India should stay democratic to maintain global peace. Similar to the urgent democratic need of India's functioning as a democracy, internally for we the people of India. This is where the Congress must play an active role with regional outfits and all opposition parties.

I'm sure the opinion would leave an impact on decision makers with an urge to inspire themselves & put into practice unpopular & progressive, democratic sensibility reflected through your 100s of brilliant opinions on democracy with cursor columns in world's second-most widely read English-language business newspaper, The Economic Times other reputed news platforms like @TheFederal.in moneycontrol.com, The Tribune, The Hindu etc in recent times. Of course, @IMPRI the non-partisan think tank who republishes your opinions.

In this particular context, I would like to highlight from my nourished democratic journalistic mind, "Latest twenty opinions are a valuable addition to the intellectual wealth you created for yourself, we the readers of your illuminating writings, viewers & listeners of your live addresses, discussions/debates and podcasts etc.

It depicts the voyage of life with your own light of pen elucidating 'democracy especially for all of us living in India'. Thank you so much, Sanjaya.
