A Neutral Ukraine is the Solution to the Current Crisis
For Ukraine to accept a neutral status, like Moldova or Finland, is the ideal solution. In return, it must obtain security guarantees from Russia, in return

Dear Prudent International Affairs Editor aka Mr TK Arun,
The entire opinion including two concluding paragraphs reflect journalistic excellence considering the big picture of no war/conflict, Russian-Ukraine war to end first, & fast, considering geopolitical significance emerging around the EU's power centres; whose interests they serve, need to protect national sovereignty with no sanctions on Russia rather taking security guarantees from Russia & neutral status accorded to Ukraine as a perfect formal peace accord between Russia & Ukraine.
Foreseeing consequences different in substance & accordingly applying mind to arrive at workable & effective solutions is best reflected in Headline, Synopsis, first two paragraphs accurately & actionably brilliantly indicating the perfect storms of the past - bloodshed created & supported by the West.
This opinion covers the stages of great measurements of maturity through statesmanship capturing the seriousness of issues like the maidan movement, formation of Ukraine (which in my view is questionable & it has a violent history), role of European Union wise cracked to reflect the real cause & effects of Russia-Ukraine conflict on the Western powers ie; attempts made by Ukraine to join NATO unnecessarily, interference of West including the European Union into Russia's matter specific to Ukraine & Europe being responsible for bloodiest wars in the history of humanity, the last being the Second World War the deadliest conflict in history.
Yes, I totally agree with the solution of a neutral Ukraine to the current crisis.
While the conflict is a reaction of Mr Putin in Russia to Ukraine's blunders, misguided attempts to join the European Nation & NATO with enthusiasm, the West has painted a dire picture of Ukraine hiding its quest to expand beyond need & greed. Perfectly enumerated in the fifth paragraph, 'What makes Russia's invasion of Ukraine.......world's leading nuclear powers'.
Further explained by you in different paragraphs, describing the history of Crimean War & consequences, with illuminating insights into the misguided motives of Ukraine, West's interference & support making it complicated for civilians and larger communities in Russia, Crimea, Ukraine and neighbouring borders.
Rightly said by you that it is time for India to support Russia & move towards a peace accord between the two countries at conflict. In addition, India must make its stance clear in the United Nation's address - Not allowing the West (USA, European Union) to take advantage of the conflict in Ukraine. I understand that the U.S. is not a reliable, leading partner & credible international leader.
IMO, It is also true that the EU has failed in addressing regional & global challenges on its own. Of course, India's strategic autonomy is most important amid world powers like the US., China & other nuclear powers.
I've tried to express my spontaneous & first principles' of journalistic thinking with high levels of confidence in your vision & leadership while reading this opinion - "Maturity is not a matter of age. You have matured when you are no longer concerned with showing how clever you are, and give your full attention to getting the job done right. Many never reach that stage, no matter how old they get". - In this context, I am motivated & encouraged to write, 'You & your writings stand out as always'.
I bow to you for your maturity & exemplary journalistic works for three plus decades.
You were mature in Thirties & Forties so you wrote remarkably prudent news articles/stories back then & Fifties onwards your opinions show a great deal of maturity, exemplary command over subjects & all important topics with plenty of respect for humans, clearly evident strategy & tactics for best of Indians & India, perfect & not so perfect democracy pictures including violations by the West & Ukraine's accords on human rights, perspective on humanity & its essential relationship with democracy & of course right of way to endure political reflection & statesmanship at a given point of time.
Many thanks for this revised new version on Russia-Ukraine conflict. I read it with Prayers, boundless gratitude & thanks to God for keeping your pen is mightier & mightiest.
All the best, and may God bless you powerfully. Amen.
Note; Your brilliance shines brighter with every new opinion on matters of critical importance to India. It reminds me about one of the Propaganda channels NDTV & its Anchor, Nidhi Razdan's live show, 'No Spin'. She failed to ask correct questions, not having knowledge about Ukraine's history, reasons for attack & role of West's trying its best to dominate over Russia with deadliness abruptly ending the discussion with Ex India's envoy to U.N., Mr Syed Akbaruddin yesterday. #Shameful #UnacceptableJournalism
Best regards,
Vandana
